 Great deal - for the price, I'm okay with a somewhat non-HD video quality. But, come on, for this price, pretty awesome. I've used it on my Android phone, on a Mac, and (most productively) on my Chromebook. Bought it to look at electronics up close, but am having a lot of fun just poking around the yard with it.

for coins, especially error coins, because the proof is in the pictures of coins, especially when a buyer is 2000 miles away and he wants a clear picture of something the naked eye cannot see. This digital microscope is a 99 out of a hundred, and is my third digital this year. Compared to my second it is like a oasis in the desert. Absolutely an outstanding microscope all the way around, I had it going in 15 minutes by myself, and it takes nice pictures and got to love the 1000X magnification. Also it is adaptable as far as different positions and short ranges, if it could take a picture of a silver dollar a foot away it would be a 100 out of a hundred. By far the best overall digital microscope I have ever owned. And thats not even talking about the price, excellent price, it makes me wonder about the second one I bought 6 months ago, high priced and still no software, that microscope cost me thousands and your microscope may have saved my young business, your going to do very well with your digital microscope, thank you LRGarcia

My friend A. D. Lawlor Talk Best $20 I've spent on Amazon..

First, I have to start out with the negatives... the device did not work on my computer using the software included (and linked through a bitly link). I run Windows 10 64bit on the 1809 release.

I removed the driver that was loaded from the installer and let windows pick the driver. Which seemed to correct the ! exclamation point in the device manager.

The Amcap software continued to present an error.

I did some googling and someone recommended using the built-in "Camera" app in Windows 10. I tried this and it worked perfectly.

After using the Windows Camera app, the Amcap software magically worked, too. Whatever.

The device creates pretty low res (640x480) images (compared to modern digital cameras) but it works perfectly for what I bought it for - examining old coins.

The features on this model are rather limited but it has a nice built-in macro light that is adjustable and the images snaps I've taken are fine for what I wanted.

I see other models of USB microscope selling for upwards of $500 - I don't need that.

The only thing I don't like is that I can't get it to show me the entire coin in the veiwer but for $20 I really can't complain too much.

 I had my doubts at first but this inexpensive microscopes does everything that I wanted it for.I do a lot of roll searching of coins and using the microscope in the hand held position has cut my time in half,not only can I quickly check coins for dates but can zero in on them and check the tiniest of detail.I love the sharp picture that I can watch on my computer screen,for the price this small microscope has outdone itself.I definitely would refer to my friends .

This microscope is amazing! I’ve been trying to introduce my 7 yr old son to fun science things and activities to keep him from getting obsessed with video games, including puzzles, books, board games, kites, etc. This microscope is one of the best things I’ve ever bought. It’s so much fun for the both of us and easy to use. We used to have a very good kid’s traditional microscope but it broke. I discovered these digital microscopes that are far superior when looking at 3D objects (coins, insects, leaves, objects, etc.). One of the problems we had with the traditional microscope is it was hard to share the experience of looking through the lens. With this digital microscope it’s so much fun to view the subject on the big computer screen together. It’s amazing that we can take pictures and even videos of our discoveries. I can’t believe the price on these digital microscopes, it’s an incredible value, much cheaper than the traditional microscopes.

Here’s a quick story: I grabbed a random leaf outside the house to look at under the microscope. I didn’t know what I was looking at, I just zoomed in on a white spot with barely perceptible little white specks around it. When I looked at it, I could see there were little bugs with red eyes and it was amazing and gross at the same time!

The power of these microscopes is incredible. And my son loves to use it, and it’s one more way we can spend time having fun together. I couldn’t recommend this microscope any more highly; it’s affordable, and a joy to have and to use. I’m so glad I bought it.

I purchased this camera to inspect the inside of a USB charging port to see if the pins were bent before ordering a new component. All my other magnifiers could not put enough light into the port. This camera has various brightness LEDs which allow me to see clearly. I could use this camera to see the tiniest particle on an object. I could see a speck on my finger that I could not see with my naked eye. Great magnification for the price. I had trouble setting up and the tech support was great. In the end the problem wasn't with the camera or software, it was how my computer was set up. Great idea for schools.

I was hesitant to buy this for my daughter who's been begging for something like this for month's. Her birthday was at the begining of the month so I caved. I was worried that for the cheap price it would be so flimsy and so low quality that it wouldn't be worth it. Prepared to be surprised. It is obviously not the best materials or magnifier at that price BUT it holds up very well and has a disturbingly clear picture. Thanks to my daughter's desire to see everything in the house including people I now know more about myself and items in my house than I need too including the items the FDA allows in my gummies.
