I have had 2 Fire Sticks quit working in a weeks time. I had purchased Square Trade protection plans for both of them. It has been impossible to file a claim. Their website has not worked, and their customer service reps refer me to the website. I am more than frustrated because I have purchased several policies on different electronics. I really am getting the feeling they make it difficult to file a claim so you just give up. Disappointed with Square Trade and the Fire Stick

I was told one thing by SquareTrade as to what is covered and what is not covered, only to find out that after filing my claim, my issue was not covered. This is honestly a scam and just an extended version of the manufacturer's warranty. The person I spoke with at SquareTrade said everything was covered except theft or loss. I was told damage was covered, which it is in fact not covered. You have to contact Amazon, and then they make you jump through a million different hoops only to not get anything resolved.

Save your money and don't fall for this scam.

Purchased a firestick October 2016. Ten days ago it stopped working - did everything to try to get it to work and it was clear that the remote was not sending a signal. I submitted a request for replacement via website. I never got a response. I received an email after leaving a bad review for the stick and received three emails and two calls! I finally have a moment to call today and I have to jump through 35 minutes of hoops for the rep to conclude that the remote is bad. I am allegedly transferred to SQUARETRADE and instead I get another amazon agent trying to trouble shoot and repeat all the steps all over again!!!!! I refused and lost it. They each tell me the stick and the remote will be replaced by squaretrade. I FINALLY get transferred to SQUARETRADE and am told that because the remote is bad - it's all they will replace. Lisa - agent said she took good notes and no one said the firestick was bad. Amazing - by this time I have been on the call way too long and accepted a remote replacement. What a BAD experience! I have a feeling this is not over. I am so pissed about all the time wasted I just may cancel this account after being a member for over 12 years.

This a word from JMG Buyer experience What does it really cover?.

My remote broke within five weeks of owning the Fire stick but I had to repurchase another remote. The person who helped me at Amazon could see I purchased this plan but I guess it didn't cover the remote. Waste of money.

I purchased their two year warranty for a fire stick and a fire tv. Days later I changed my mind and cancelled both warranties. I have contacted SquareTrade twice now about refunding my money. I have filed a complaint with the San Francisco Better Business Bureau. I have filed an A to Z Guarantee claim with Amazon. 9 days later and I still cannot get these people to refund my money. Clearly poor business practices.

I placed an order for 2-Fire Sticks, then also ordered the 2-year protection plan for both. After I was told that the fire sticks were back ordered until the end of the month I decided to cancel that order for both. Well Square trade will only refund me for one of the two purchases of the 2-year agreement plan, therefor they still owe me $ 4.98. Be careful when placing 2-year agreement plans on items that you may cancel before they ship

Another customer Sawyer Talk Firestick remote control has a defect in all of them.

I love the Amazon streaming videos and TV, etc. The only problem I've noticed with the Fire Stick remote control is that sometimes it stops working for no reason. Then, you have to remove the back cover, take out the batteries, and put the same batteries back in, and then it will work again. It isn't just a defect in my remote - I contacted Amazon and they sent another remote, and it does the same thing. As excellent a company as Amazon is, I'm surprised at this design flaw in the Firestick remote control.
