Reviews Kindle Paperwhite Leather Cover (10th Generation-2018)

While R. Price Blalock experience Does not live up to previous cases.

This case feels cheap and lacks attention to detail. When open (one handed reading) the lid does not lay flat against the back of the case and without the two surfaces matching up the lid easily slides around and feels sloppy. It's an annoyance that reduces the reading experiance in comparison to the previous generation leather case. I find myself holding onto the case with greater force and tuning off the Kindle with my pinky as a result. A simple result would be to remove the Kindle from the case but in reality it is such a tight fit that removing the device is tricky, especially in the dark.

The lid is a cheap thin material and does not have a soft luxurious feel as previous generations. This case is not worth the money and is a poor design in regards to function.

While N. Jones say Not as good as before.

The positives. It now stays open with magnets. The top cover seems more sturdy than the previous model
The negitives- the case is not as protective as the previous Amazon Paperwhite case. This does not protect the Kindle at the top and bottom (I put my Kindle in my purse and it can scratch pretty easy on the top and bottom now) It's hard plastic and not rubber around it. The leather is already coming apart from the plastic (it's glued on in the back) - see pics. When open the case is so stuffed it does not lay flat (see pics). I'm considering returning this and getting the $10 cheaper one. The reviews are ready better in that one. Hopefully they will come out with an oragami version.

This a word from KG tell us Not worth the price.

This cost the same as the Amazon leather cover I bought five years ago for my older paperwhite. My older cover is still in excellent condition, if it was the same size as my new paperwhite I would have just used that one.

The top flap of this one feels thinner, cheaper, and the edges aren't smooth against my hand while I'm reading. My old one has a thicker flap with smooth rounded/ beveled edges and is stitched around the top edge, it's very comfortable to hold. This one not so much.

This cover is pretty and does look nice, even though the color does not look like the merlot color I purchased, this is more like candy bar brown.

This does hold my Kindle and wakes it up as it should, I'm just not too confident that it would protect my Kindle during a fall (top and bottom of kindle are unprotected and exposed) or that it will last very long as it feels a bit cheap and flimsy.

I bought this cover expecting it to be a better quality cover like my old Amazon cover,...very disappointed so I will be sending this one back.

A review E. Hinrichsen II tell us Nice enough, way overpriced.

Nice enough, way overpriced, a very thin skin of leather over a stiffer material. Front and back covers don't line up perfectly when closed. Wait until Fintie or some other manufacturer releases aftermarket covers for the 10th Gen "All-New" Paperwhite as they'll be much less expensive and probably better made. FYI, am unable to review the actual "All New" Paperwhite that fits this case as Amazon is apparently not allowing reviews yet. If you try you're told it hasn't been released yet even though my preordered Paperwhite arrived, as promised, on the 7th of November 2018. So far, the supplied Micro USB cable does not fit the port on the device and this Kindle apparently goes into deep sleep after the cover is closed is displays "waking up" on the home screen for a couple of seconds before you can swipe it open.

Review nrthwdswmn Talk Very Disappointed.

I'm only giving this a 3 based on the design quality. IMO the design has taken a huge step down. The rubber around the edges has been replaced by plastic which feels sharp to the touch. The "cover" does not cover much of the top or bottom of the kindle as previous ones used to. Also, the book binding seems to be very flimsy resulting in a lot of movement or play when holding it in the folded back position. That brings me to the folded back position which is very disappointing as it does not fold flat. I find this to be very annoying. The other thing is that the quality of the leather doesn't seem near as good as previous versions. I've had several of those and have never been unsatisfied until now. It's a lot of money for something that doesn't compare to its predecessors.

My friend ellenberkowitz tell us If I could I would give this cover a 1/4 star !!!.

This is not my first kindle Paperwhite case by Amazon. I own a Paperwhite Kindle I purchase in 2014 which has a leather case and there is no doubt that it is leather. It feels like leather, it looks like leather, and it has aged into a nice leather case. When I purchased this new one I even order the same color. This case feels and looks like PLASTIC. Buy something else

Review Mariya M Davis experience Best cover for your Kindle Paperwhite!.

I always love the Leather Covers for the kindle paperwhite. They are really nice, but I do feel like they are overpriced. They should only be half the price they charge you for them. The only reason I pay the price is because I REALLY like the cases.

With the new kindle paperwhite I have to say I hated the color choices this time. There was barely any colors to choose from. I wish they would've had a pink or actual purple color. I decided to go with Cobalt Purple and I was VERY DISAPPOINTED when I got the case as the color is actually cobalt blue, not purple. So do be aware if you get purple, you're actually getting blue. It is still a very nice color. I would've either went with the black or this blue.

New features to this cover included a magnetic back when you fold the cover and the nice microfiber cloth on the inside to protect your kindle against scratches which is a very nice touch. Overall, I do recommend this cover for your kindle if you don't mind throwing out $40 for it.

Another customer K. Golden said It's Brown.

I was looking forward to the Merlot color thinking it would be a pretty maroon like it shows in the picture. However, instead the cover I received is a dark brown. Considering the price, I expect the color to be accurate. As far as functionality, I like the magnet closure and the texture of the case is nice (although I would not call it leather).

While Z. tell us Excellent cat pillow! Also useful as a Kindle case....

The Kindle Paperwhite 10th Generation with the All-new Kindle Paperwhite Leather Cover makes for a comfortable and ergonomic pillow. Its thin profile provides firm, yet gently padded support to my luxuriantly fluffy head and neck. My human servant (who for some bizarre reason thinks to refer to herself as "Mommy") bought me the Cobalt Purple option - which is now called Indigo Purple, for some reason. The cover I received is a true cobalt blue that highlights my mesmerizing blue eyes.

My human servant is very pleased with this cover as well. I generously allow her to borrow it, but I fear greatly for her sanity; instead of using it to rest her head, the simple-minded human likes to open it and stare at the insides - sometimes for HOURS at a time. That this time would be better spent attending to MY every need should go without saying!

Just goes to show that one can't get good help these days!

At any rate, whether you desire to use it as a pillow, or for holding open while staring mindlessly, I give it four paws and a tail up!

A review Barbara J. Anderson say do not buy this..

this cover is a piece of trash! It costs $39.00 ad isn't worth $2.00. The ad says it is leather The only think that MIGHT be leather is the inside flap ans I'm not even sure that is leather. the rest is cheap plastic. This is definitely being returned.
