Reviews: Reolink Dual Band Security Wireless Monitor

As Craigo said Clarity.

I already had two Reolink C2 Pro cams for wlefar monitoring a senior friend. I decided to try the E1 Pro for my own home since I don't need a zoom, but want it clear and movable.
I am very, very happy. The Client software is much easier to setup and use.....not like my Lorex client software...that was a nightmare.
I scanned the camera with my Ipad and it was right there on my PC within a minute!
I will be keeping an eye out for further advancements!
Cheers!

A review Riv_vy said Not a single complaint!.

I have yet to find something about this camera that I don’t like!! It rotates almost 360 degrees and the lens can also move up and down almost 180 degrees. I had no idea about WiFi frequency and ordered a camera that was only compatible with the 2.4 freq. I had to return it since my freq was 5. I saw several that were advertised as being compatible with both, but after reading the Q&A noticed that that wasn’t true. I was skeptical that these wouldn’t work but they did!!! I ordered two and they are definitely worth the price! I have yet to mount them but I am very pleased with my purchase! The set up was less than 5 min for each camera and the cord that they come with is a pretty decent length. You will not be disappointed with this camera!

This a word from Mark Twain experience It set it self up.

I was shocked, this camera set its self up. I downloaded the app, and thought I was looking at a picture to help guide me through the set up process but it was my bedroom , seen at at much lower level than I was used too. I remember thinking wow that looks cozy , then realized I was looking at my own home.

As Kyle tell us Let me tell you about this camera.

Ho-lee-crap. This thing was so simple to install. Like, that one girl from high school (you know who), yeah that type of easy to install. The app is basic (like that other girl) and the booklet explains everything. Can’t beat that price either!

A review Hummingbirds Talk Awesome reliable wi-fi cams!.

I purchased an entire Reolink system w/ 8-port NVR, and added 3 of these wi-fi cams on to the system to view the garage, and pets while we're not home, etc.. Super easy setup, the NVR saw them immediately, and they work great. Both day and night vision are amazing quality! I assigned them static IP addresses in my router so it's easy to access them directly as well with a browser (just look in your router for device called E1 or something like that). When you access them directly via browser you have more control/options than when accessing via the NVR, because the cams have their own internal menus. Like I said, I bought 3 of these, And I would buy them again if I need more!

My friend Heidi Parker say Love this!!!!.

This little camera is amazing! My family loves it. Hard to believe this technology is so simple and affordable. We are hooked. We will be buying more of these. Can't wait to see which dog is getting in the trash!

Another customer LeNoir T Talk Impressive camera for the money!.

This little camera is a great value. The video image is clearer, sharper and superior compared to 1080p. It was easy to set up, and the pan-tilt feature provides whole-room coverage of my living room. Having lots of fun talking to my pets with the two-way audio.

Pro’s
4 MP superior HD quality
Dual band wifi
On-device storage via micro SD - no subscription fees
Cloud storage is optional
24/7 monitoring to reolink NVR
Alarm can be automatic or manually turned on - helpful for those of us with pets
Easy to setup and use
Excellent night vision
Customized settings

Con’s
Slight lag (2 seconds) responding to joystick (pan-tilt) - only small gripe on my part because overall there are lots of positive features packed into such an affordable wireless camera. <Got mine on sale for $49.49>

Scene Modes***
Contacted Reolink Customer Support because I wanted a way to turn off recordings when at home but also turn on recordings (with push notifications) when away or at bedtime. A representative did a tutorial video showing me how to set up “Scene Modes” (Home, Away, Bedtime). Just another reason why I love this camera!

A review H. Leodones Talk so far so good.

Video quality is good and the night vision is outstanding.
The only complain I have is there's no browser viewing support, you can only use your phone or third party client like Blue Iris.
I only have it for 2 weeks so it's too early to comment on reliability.

This a word from S. Haysley tell us Not Dual-Band.

Low rating because it would not connect. We specifically purchased this camera for it's dual-band capability. To our disappointment, this camera would not connect and gave an error message that it is only compatible with 2.4 Ghz.

This a word from Jonathan tell us Needs Improvement.

I was not too impressed by this camera mostly because I bought it for all the features it claimed yet they are not so good. I was skeptical about this camera being 5GHz compatible because of all the reviews saying it was not, I contacted support & they said it was so I gave it a shot & it is indeed supported so at least that was good. Also a heads up, you can't use Google Assistant on your phone to look at the cameras like other cameras, for this one you will need to be near your TV with Chromecast. I have created a Pros/Cons list below for each area.

{ Pros:
---Camera---
∙ 5GHz
∙ HD image
∙ Smooth video (tested in front of tv & it had little hiccups)
∙Overwrites old clips when SD is full

---App---
∙ Fast
∙ Modern design

---Computer Software---
∙ None...

{ Cons:
---Camera---
∙ About a 3-second stream delay
∙ Only comes in white
∙ No way to schedule infrared lights
∙ The power cable easily falls out
∙ The siren is not that loud, the house needs to be completely quiet to faintly hear it unless you're in the same room.
∙ The speak function works 30% of the time
∙ The listen function has a lot of weird noises when there is little to no noise, such as buzzing, static, pops, & "crickets".
App
∙ The "scenes" which set certain commands like siren, notifications, recording, etc.. have no way to schedule them so you have to manually set them (huge down for me because I wake up after everyone else & only I have access so if I set siren for night time it will keep going off until I wake up!)
∙Camera recording can only be set by a weird selector & not custom times
∙Furthermore, no way to set the siren schedule

---Computer Software---
∙ Outdated & confusing UI, nothing like the app
∙ Does not seem to use the monitors' size
∙ Can weirdly only be used on full screen as if it were a game
∙ Feels slow

As for the cloud, they do offer a free plan that saves your videos for a week which is better than nothing however it seems that the recording does not obey the recording settings set on the app as it looks to only affect the SD & not the cloud so your cloud storage will fill up FAST.

In conclusion, I am not too sure if I got a faulty camera that has a bad speaker/mic system but on the other hand, the app/pc software could use some improvements for sure to make it a better experience for the user.
