While Taylor C. said No More Battery Charging.

This is a lifesaver! I love the ring products and wanted to place a camera that was no near any power. I noticed that the batteries would last about 2 weeks from a full charge. After having to pull out the batteries and wait for them to charge I started searching for a solar option. I am could not be happier with this product. Even with multiple days of cloud cover or snow, my battery doesn't drop below 98%. My only suggestion would be a shorter cable option as the one that is hard-wired into the back of the panel is crazy long. This would be great if your camera is on the other side of the house that doesn't get any sun but for those that don't need all of the extra, it doesn't look very clean with a massive roll of cable stuffed behind your camera.

Another customer David J Kirby say I’ll NEVER have to swap Ring batteries again!.

I picked up this solar panel with a little trepidation. Many reviews are negative, claiming it doesn’t work well. I have found that to be completely false. I purposely installed two batteries in the Ring spotlight cam - one was 100% charged, the other was about 40% charged. After a quick install of the solar panel I watched the battery indicator creep up 5-10% each day. Both batteries in the camera are now fully charged on a daily basis. The panel receives partial morning sun, but manages to maintain both batteries at over 97%. I live in a heavily wooded area and the camera catches squirrels, cats, foxes, turkeys, on a regular basis. It probably triggers 20-30 times in an average day, but the solar panel keeps the batteries full. I am thoroughly impressed with this product. I will be purchasing more. One thing to watch out for- the Ring Stick Up cams use a different power supply connector. Make sure you are buying the correct solar panel.

Another customer Mj say It isn't charging the battery.

I mounted this in full sun and have moved it several times but my battery levels continue to drop. I haven't found anywhere I can mount it for it to be effective. If someone could help me troubleshoot it would be great; otherwise I'm going to have to send it back.

This a word from D H tell us Solar panel great addition!.

When I bought my Ring Spotlight Cam Battery HD Security Camera with Built Two-Way Talk and Siren I realized immediately the ability to put 2 batteries in meant this device had it all! With all of it"s features one must have sufficient energy. I bought the solar panel when I bought it but didn't attach it for 10 days. I placed it on the roof facing the direction the enclosed information said would be optimal placement. The first couple days I was up and down the ladder changing the battery 2ce a week. After seeing how much my battery was draining in the first couple of days (a lot of dog motion pulling on the power source) I was really glad I bought the panel. I waited 10 days to attach the solar panel as I wanted maximum placement time to see how well the panel was going to do in the place I selected , desired some exposure to sun before attaching it to my Spotlight with only one battery chamber filled, and a way to see that the solar panel was working as advertised.. After I attached the solar panel, health checks great with 97-98% battery power readings! Haven't been up that ladder at all in a few weeks!

My friend RCT say Solar Battery Charger needs direct sunlight.

I have two Solar Battery Charges attached to two Rings. One of the Rings is attached to a tree on my front yard. The other is attached to an eve of my house in the backyard. The battery looses 1% of its charge daily on both of these Rings. The Solar Battery Charger do not increase the charge on the battery. This is disappointing because both of these devices are hard to reach and recharging the batteries is a hassle.

Repositioned the Solar chargers in direct sunlight and the batteries are charging.

While Jacksonland said Keeps my batteries charged - improved the camera's performance.

I recently installed this solar panel for the Spotlight Cam Battery. Not only did it immediately start charging both of my batteries, the performance is now very close (in many ways) to my Spotlight Cam and Doorbell Pro. My Spotlight Cam Battery now ramps up to a good video quicker, doesn't skip, stutter, or have video glitches, and overall just looks better, including now having Night Colors, as my other Ring cameras do.

This camera points across my front yard to the sidewalk and street. Even with two batteries, I was having to remove one for charging more often than I had hoped, but that is because there are a lot of people walking on my side of the street (no intersections) - which is what I want to monitor - so the camera records many times each day. Now, my batteries stay at 100%, so even if there are days without much sun, I should always have plenty of electricity to power my camera.

It makes me think that the firmware is programmed to give it the performance of a wired camera, when it sees the solar panel. I believe Ring throttles the performance of the Battery version, to save battery life, and it used to lose even more performance (almost unbearable) when the battery got very low - just before it would switch over to the 2nd battery. Now - with the solar panel - I am completely happy with the Spotlight Battery Cam.

My friend Chuck said Keeps the camera battery charged, but has a major flaw.

I would give this five stars for "just working," but I was rather unhappy with the inflexibility of installation.

Since I was installing in my east-facing back yard, I would have liked a way to install this with the panel facing south, tilted up parallel with my solar electric panels. But there is no way to do this, so it is installed in a way that leaves it mostly shadowed in the afternoon. The good news is that even like this, it charged from about 20% to 100% in a few days and it maintains a full charge on the (single) battery in my camera.

There is no indication in the app that it is charging, but of course I can check at different times and see that it must be. So this isn't really a problem.

As D. Mack tell us So far so good!.

I attached it to the Ring Spotlight Battery Camera. I started out with 60% battery. At the end of the next day it was charged to 100%.
I didn't use the included mount. I just wanted it to lay flat on the roof, so I attached it with outdoor 3M double-sided tape. So far so good!

My friend Sean von Lindern Talk works great!.

the solar panel works great in keeping the spotlight camera fully charged all the time... no complaints.

While T-Raw experience Great Stick up cam supplement.

Bought this for my 2nd gen Ring stick up cam. Did a great job bringing my battery to 100% after about 2 days and it's been holding at 95-100% ever since. Worth every penny as I have no desire to change out the stick up cam battery ever couple months.
