A review Tu Nguyen Talk So much better than the traditional system.

We have two of these now for about 5 months and couldn’t be happier. There are some drawbacks to getting a WiFi monitor vs a traditional one that I will get into later. But here are some of the features.

Picture Quality:
Far superior then traditional and more than adequate. No need to install another monitor just for camera, i can just access the camera via wifi from anywhere and it is so easy, even for someone have limited knowledge about technology.

Viewing monitor:
We use our phones to check which works great. The quality of picture came out clearly and the night vision mode works completely better than our old system which is much more expensive and more complicate to install.

User Access and setup
Some other comment mentioned how 2 different phones can’t both check at the same time so I wanted to mention that’s completely wrong. In wansview cloud view, you can create multiple accounts that can access/view/replay really easy. You can share the camera access to anyone that have the wansview app and they can check it, all the setup process can be complete in just a few minutes.

Price
Compare to my old system which costs me almost $3k and hours to setup, wansview camera came in very handy and extremely affordable at $40 (free shipping and free return policy) and all my family can easily find this system is so easy to use. What a stealing deal.

My friend Paul m. Talk Easy to hook up and get started!.

My wife and I bought this camera for the upcoming holiday season where we tend to buy a lot of stuff by mail for gifts. We live in an urban setting, bigger city on a main street with no lock box, just a little door slot for mail. We've had packages stolen before and we just want that added security. I set it up right away. It was very easy to set up. Literally 10 minutes out of the package and it was hooked up. Now we just need to mount it. We tested it out with the video and you get a month of storage free with the app. Then you can either pay by month, quarterly or annually. Theres a free option too but not much storage. It's really affordable. I believe 7 bucks a month or 69.99 for the year for up to 3 cameras. (There are other plans and offers for even more cameras and storage as well) After seeing that it works great we are actually going to purchase 2 more for around the house and back building. You never can be too safe this day and age.
It does have to be plugged in so it's hardwired not wireless camera, but does work through Wi-Fi. Also it's good to note that the app only works on 2.4 speed and not 5.0. I'm glad that our fast internet package gave us 2 separate lines so we have both. We were very impressed on what it picked up even in the dark when we took the red light off the camera. It would start recording every time my son would roll side to side sleeping in the morning while we tested it out as grandpa came to babysit the kids for my wifes morning appointment and while I was off to work. All in all I'm very impressed. Will update to see how it lasts through the winter and outside.

My friend Ailerua33 say Very good video quality.

 I love it.
I got a Ring camera before and I hate it because of its bad image resolution, delayed video and delayed recording of the movement alarms, I thought if ring can't do it then who can? Well I was wrong.
I tried this camera and I couldn't believe how good image resolution has, even on the nigh vision mode. Also, the movement alarm is so precise, I think it begins to record when detecs a sound because it show a few seconds before some movement happens.
The set up took me 5 minutes and the app is intuitive to use. They offer their own cloud and I think the price is fair.
I liked that I can take pictures of the video, watch live, and download videos on the phone.
You can also set up the movement sensibility.
Over all this is a excellent outdoor camera and I love it!

Another customer Clint said Great little outdoor camera!.

This camera works great for my use, and at a fantastic price value. Set up was easy on my cell phone, and it has a Windows app, too. I use it to monitor my front yard and door when I'm away. It has adjustable motion detection and alerts me on my cell phone immediately when it senses something. I just click on the alert and the video comes right up. I can view it or optionally download it to my phone. It stores about 10 seconds of video for each motion detected, starting before the motion was detected. I haven't yet figured out if I can adjust that record period.
It also offers / encourages cloud usage by subscription (with free trial), and I've seen some complaints about that. But it isn't required, at least not for what I'm doing. I haven't done the trial and it's still storing my Alarm videos just fine. It seems that Cloud usage would be helpful for continual monitoring and additional feathers, but I don't need that. Very nice camera!

A review SW say Easy to set up, good video quality, room to improve on the alerts.

I have several Wansview indoor cameras (both cloud and non-cloud) already and I bought this for outdoor use. As I have been quite familiar with the procedure and the app as well, it was quick and easy to get it up and running. Getting it mounted on the wall and running the power cable was another story concerning personal workmanship... but the package included all that's needed, saved me a lot of work. The video quality is as good as my other Wansview cameras. Sometimes it takes more than 10 seconds to receive the alerts on my phone when there is a movement detected, the same as my other cameras, so far not a big problem to me, but I hope they can improve their firmware/software in the future. I have not needed to use their customer service this time, hopefully I won't need at all. But I'd like to mention that I have been contacting and working with their customer service and they were superb. That's why I keep coming back to them when I think of security camera products. Overall as a cloud camera at this price range it's no doubt a good buy.

Another customer Tigerhouse tell us Good value waterproof outdoor camera.

I received the Wansview W4 outdoor camera a few weeks ago in exchange for my unbiased review. It came well packaged with easy to follow instructions and a packet of materials (e.g.: screws, anchors) which cover most installations.

Setup: This is not my first Wansview camera, so the app was already downloaded and is pretty user friendly (once you get the hang of the QR reader Wi-Fi setup). Wansview does give the option for cloud storage, which is convenient for those who require it, or you can store clips and images locally on your device.

Installation: This device must be connected to continuous power and battery operation is not an option. I had an outdoor outlet in the location where I planned to install the device which made things easy, but this is surely something to consider. The option to connect via ethernet or Wi-Fi is also a nice feature if your installation is set up to be hardwired with ethernet. The three cords that extend from the rear of the camera (power, ethernet, and reset button) are a bit bulky, but can be managed during install. The antenna has several degrees of freedom but can get in the way depending on your installation location. In my case, I mounted the camera on the underside of an eave rather than the side of a wall. Thankfully, Wansview has thought of this and allows you the option of flipping the video orientation if you must mount the camera with the antenna facing down.

Video Quality & Integrity: The images are high quality day and night, especially for the price point. I experienced acceptable lag and good stream integrity. The camera only connects to 2.4 GHz bands, so depending upon your provider and Wi-Fi coverage, bandwidth could present a problem with lag and stream integrity.

Features: The app allows you to activate motion detection and alerts. This is convenient but does not apply for my application. You can share access to the camera via the Wansview app with many users (e.g.: family members, employees, etc).

Pros:
Value (This is multiple pros wrapped up in one with good quality and functionality at a reasonable price.)
Reliable (Thus far, no issues with loss of connectivity or needs to reboot the camera since installation.)
Option to expand to cloud based storage at an additional cost. Probably most useful if you have multiple Wansview cameras.
May be controlled by Alexa.
Waterproof.

Cons: (Only apply to certain applications)
The camera does provide audio or a talk back feature. This is something to be aware of to limit disappointment if you require this functionality for your application.
The location of the antenna could potentially impact your installation plans, but there is a significant degree of possibilities here to make it work (e.g.: degrees of freedom in the mount and antenna, as well as ability to flip the image).
No native or expandable storage in the camera itself.

Overall:
A good value waterproof outdoor camera with night vision that is appropriate for most applications that do not require audio or talk back features.

A review AStar Talk External security monitoring camera..

I got this external camera mostly to monitor my packages delivery. My house is right on the corner of the running road and lately we have had some burglary /packages stolen from porch. I setup this camera over the weekend and so far it is working as intended. I haven’t yet tested its capability with Alexa devices but that is something I will test in the coming days. There is a cloud app which is used for getting notifications and monitoring the activity. So far I am pleased with its operation.

A review Terance tell us Awesome for the Price !.

Decent Quality Video and Really Nice IR Night Vision Lighting, Easy to Mount. We Installed it on the Front Door To See Who Comes to the Door, This Camera Works Best if you Use the LAN Cable Option to Plug into your Internet Router, So there is no Dropped Signal or Video Delay. The Camera is Worth Every Penny SO Far For just What We Needed for a Front Door Camera. I Highly Reccomend this Camera, You Can't Bet this Price for a Water Proof Outdoor Camera, Just Make Sure you Really Should Use the LAN Cabling Not Wifi, but Either Work Out Really Well Still.

5 Stars NO PROBLEMS, EASY INSTRUCTIONS

My friend Snowboarder say Wansview W4 Camera easy setup, easy to use and great price!.

This Camera is great. Having 2 older wansview outdoor cameras they were good and but had some minor issues with motion detection and switching night/day vision. But they have corrected these issues with the wansview w4 camera. I now get great 10 second video clips sent to the cloud with really good picture quality. It was easy to set up. After having these for the last several days these are perfect. I recommend getting these cameras. They aren’t that expensive which is another major plus. I think they did great with this one.

While hawaii06 experience Great picture and good camera.

I really like the exterior aesthetic of this camera. Sometimes I don’t want my cameras to be too hidden and this is obvious without being ugly. It mounted really easily, but the hardest was finding a place to mount it that is close enough to a plug. The cord isn’t super long, so anyone not wanting to be videoed could easily unplug it.
The camera has great picture, but it is a little challenging to connect it via WiFi. It was definitely easier via network cable, but less ideal as I have to climb on my counter to get to the router. Overall, I really like it. There are a few things I would change, but for now, it works perfectly.
