My friend ML experience Great shade of yellow, but edges are fraying.
I was worried about this yellow color, but it’s perfect. Vibrant without being lemony and juvenile, but also rich without looking mustardy. I’d call it a fun egg yolk yellow, and it’s exactly what I’d hoped it would be!
UPDATED: After just a few weeks of regular use, the fabric edges of this cover are starting to fray in multiple places. I’m really disappointed. Definitely not what I’d expect from a $30 cover.
My friend Kenton H. MacDowell tell us Although it utilizes what may be considered Black Magic, it works perfectly.
It turns on the Kindle when you open it, no button presses or anything. While I am a good Christian and this sort of magick might concern me, I simply put the Kindle in its case under my Bible every night which I think makes me safe.
Attractive, durable, lightweight cover. I wonder how easy it is to clean, but I do assume it shouldn't be a major issue.
A review Phil in Magnolia tell us Very Nice Fabric Cover for the New Paperwhite.
I generally purchase Amazon's own covers whenever I buy a new Kindle, and I've always been satisfied with the quality and durability of their cover (well, the sole exception would be the cover they offered when the 2nd generation Oasis was introduced, and they ended up withdrawing that cover from sale, but that's the only one in my experience over 6 or so years and 6 new Kindles that was not fully satisfactory).
This time I decided to forgo the more expensive leather cover and try the fabric one, and I expect that it will be fine over time if perhaps less durable than leather. Hopefully I won't regret that since the leather cover is only $10 more, but I'm not that hard on my devices so I expect this will be just fine.
It fits perfectly and the cover works to wake up the Paperwhite when you open it, and put it back to sleep when it's closed. It's held shut when closed so it won't flop open if you don't want it to. The hinge of the cover is also firm enough to keep the front of the cover square when it's closed (some inexpensive covers are so flimsy that they flop around too much and don't always fit squarely).
The fabric is kind of a jeans texture which you should be able to see in the attached photos. It's a lighter blue than my Levis, looks good, and the inner surface of the front cover is a smoother than the outside - perhaps a microfiber material, which should be good in protecting the screen of the Paperwhite.
I'm completely happy with this cover and if I have anything further to add after using it for a longer period of time, I"ll return to this review and update it accordingly.
While Jason H. tell us Fits perfectly! Magnet cover!.
Just received the All-new waterproof (10th generation 2018) Kindle Paperwhite and this cover.
I used to use the leather cover for my old Kindle, and I sometimes found the cover becomes very sticky. This fabric cover feels just smooth and comfortable. Also, it's water resistant, which goes perfectly with the waterproof Kindle.
Another thing I like about is that the cover is has a magnet, and when you fold it to the back, the lid (metal inside) stays on the back of the Kindle, which is quite convenient. With the cover on, the Kindle still feels very light. Love it!!
This a word from Joe Greene say Water safe?.
I hoped water-safe would mean something, but the first line in the notes inside the device make it clear that as soon as it touches water, take the cover off. What a waste of money. The Kindle is waterproof, what's the point of a case that isn't?
This a word from Holly experience I REALLY like this cover.
When my older kindle finally bit the dust, I purchased the all-new Paperwhite and have been very pleased. One of the things I like most is this cover that I selected for it. It is a quality item - the case is well made and operates perfectly. What really has me sold is the materials used.
The outside of the case (I purchased the gray color) is heathered so doesn't show fingerprints and should be very tolerant of dirt. It feels good to the touch and allows a very secure grip on the device. Even though I don't care for obvious branding of products, the Amazon logo in the bottom right corner is discrete enough to not be bothersome. The inside of the front cover is a soft, suede fabric so when I am reading with the cover open, the device is comfortable to hold.
Bottom line: If I had it to do over, I would purchase this exact same case again - absolutely no question!
Review 4fahrenheit experience Clean, simple case.
I have had my new Kindle Paperwhite with the charcoal black water safe fabric cover for a few days now. The cover looks a lot better in person than the photos on Amazon. The weave is much tighter and doesn't snag on things in my bag as I feared it might from the view in the photos. One thing I noticed, is that when I have the kindle open and the cover folded back, it is magnetized to keep it closed. A nice feature when reading one handed, and also helps keep it closed when stored in my bag. A nice upgrade from my previous kindle cover. It is very light, soft without being slippery, and easy to hold. I splashed some water on it and it beaded off and wiped away without leaving a mark. I have only ever used the Amazon covers for my Kindle, and I definitely recommend this one for a clean, simple design that gets the job done.
A review Busy mom experience I love this case.
This case fits my new kindle paperwhite perfectly. I bought the leather case first and thought it felt bulky when I folded the case back on itself. I returned that case and bought this one. I fits it like a glove, its thin and does not feel cheap. The one benefit I enjoy is that the case will stay open with magnetics when it's folded back on itself, plus it wakes up the device every time, like it should. (My old case did not always do this) The fabric texture to the outside feels like jeans and doesn't look like it will fray. The inside cover feels like a soft suede-like material. This is a very well made case. I have the charcoal black but I wish there were more than 3 color options. I like to change cases from time to time for a change of pace.
My friend MercyStreet experience Edges fray and collect lint.
This cover is slim and attractive but not very durable. After only two months of daily use, it’s fraying along the corners and edges. The edges also collect lint which clings stubbornly, and only accelerates the fraying when you try to remove it. If your kindle never leaves your nightstand then this cover will probably suffice, but if like me you take it everywhere and toss it into your daily bag or purse, it’s going to wear quickly. My last kindle cover (also by amazon) was far more durable and took three years to show signs of wear. This fabric one still protects the device, and it’s water repellent as advertised, but I’m disappointed that it’s starting to look shabby after such a short time.
This a word from S. Nemecek Talk Very poor design.
This cover fits my new kindle nicely but it pickes up all sorts of dirt and fuzz. Additionally, the rough edges cause friction "hot spots" on my hands while reading. So, it looks bad and feels bad. I'll be looking for something new when there are more options available.
