So I decided to go with this scope as my first scope due to it's price and portability so I could bring it along on motorcycle rides, camping trips, hikes, etc. It takes about a minute to get it out of the backpack and onto the deployed tripod, really fast and easy to set up for use. The tripod, although low quality, wasn't as bad as I expected from reading reviews on here, I was also really surprised with the quality of the backpack. I absolutely love the starry night program you get for free with it, it's really helpful if you're a beginner at stargazing, you get to see when and where you can look out for planets, constellations, etc. It's not the most powerful scope out there but you can get a good view of planets like Jupiter and it's moons. Just a heads up buying my first telescope brought out a real hatred for clouds in me, so be warned.

Excellent starter scope for anyone interested in viewing the moon and celestial bodies. Very sturdy and well made for being one of the lower models. We tested it out first on trees and signs in our neighborhood and the clarity is truly amazing! That night there happened to be a full moon and it was absolutely spectacular.

The overall evaluation quality and packaging are good, easy to use and very suitable for children. Children ca n’t wait to use it in the yard to watch the moon. My son likes looking at the sky and keeps asking me astronomical questions. I bought this for his birthday. He’s so excited and assembled it with my little help. Glad he likes it and find his interest. Maybe one day he will be an astronaut.
