The Netvue vigil camera is very simple to set up and operate. Being a darn perfectionist, myself, I had to make sure I installed it with no wires showing (a big "thank you" goes to my rotary hammer for that part). I drilled the mount holes according to the template, then used a 1" diameter SDS Plus bit to put a center hole in so I could feed the wires in through the wall. Everything went beautifully.

Image quality is pretty good over wifi, and night vision is more than adequate. This camera also lets you listen to audio and speak to someone in its immediate vicinity (it's equipped with a mic and a speaker). I eventually plan to run an Ethernet wire out to it from my network switch so it's hardwired, but for now, it's working just fine on wifi.

Access to the camera can be shared to other Netvue accounts.

I will also be installing a 128GB microSD card for local storage since I'm not terribly keen on subscribing to the cloud storage plan,though that's an available option.

So far, I'm a happy guy, and I'm looking forward to scaring the UPS drivers when I'm not home (I'm kidding. Mad respect to 'em).

This is my second Netvue camera. The first was great but the motion was way to sensitive. They have since pushed a new update and it works perfectly!! My new one worked great straight out of the box! It was already up to date! If you want great 24 hour surveillance this is the one to choose! The night vision is crystal clear!

This is my third outdoor Netvue camera. You can see my other white ones in the background of my pics. I put this one under my deck and the black color conceals much better for it's placement. I tried a couple more expensive outdoor cameras, but these have been the best fit for me. They are really clear and work great with Alexa. With my Echo Show 5 and 8 I simply say "Alexa show me the deck" and a couple seconds later I have a live video feed. I could also use my phone, but find it easier on the Echo. I did have a little more trouble connecting these to my wifi than some of my other wireless cameras, but that may be due to my router. My only dislike is the ethernet cables for wired connection (I don't use them) and I really wish I could turn the IR lights off in the app. The IR's are pretty strong and bounce off the walls, causing a little distortion at night. I covered my IR sensors with electrical tape and installed Lifx IR bulbs on the deck, which are a perfect combo with my cameras. Overall, I'm VERY happy with these!!

BTW, with my white cameras I simply installed them by cutting a piece of bar stock steal I bought for $5 at Lowes, drilled and tapped a couple holes, mounted the cameras to the bar stock, and just wedged it in my soffit. It might sound like a hack job, but it's actually a good sturdy fit with no holes in the house.

The camera arrived one day after ordering and was complete in the box. Very easy to install and quickly connected to WiFi. The picture and recorded videos are clear and vibrant. I especially like how you can turn off motion detection in designated areas preventing unnecessary recordings. Night vision is also amazing and the microphone picks up sound from 25 feet away.

Wow, I'm really impressed with this camera! The app made set up really easy and was very step-by-step, even when a step didn't go as planned, it walked me through alternatives. The image quality meets my expectation and is really clear. Sometime there's a little lag, but I know that's my WiFi, not the camera. My wife put the app on her Phone too and it was super easy to share the camera with her. The microphone picks up really well and the speaker is OK for talking back though the camera. Overall very impressed and happy with my purchase. Good value for the price!

After trying three different outdoor wifi camaras this one was the best. Had to add a wifi extender at my location. The pictures were very good and the cloud service was reasonable. Has few false alarms because of leafs but only this time of year and tree very close to camara. Will be buying another one soon.

Product is as advertised. Super easy to set up and the camera works perfectly. Crisp clear image both real time and recorded. I bought a 128mb SD card (from Best Buy) and reviewing recorded images is also very easy. I highly recommend this product. Especially at this price point. I have two indoor nest cameras and the images on the Netvue are better.

The camera was one of the best cameras I have ever tested. The picture quality was great, motion detection works perfect every time, and I was able to make out clear videos during the night time. The instruction were very easy to read and set up and the power cord was long. The camera also has two way audio and it has a spot for wired internet. I would recommend to a friend and I will 100% buy the camera for the other side of my house!

Great little wifi camera! I have a room that has easy access and I like to know when someone is breaking in, or the cats found their way in! Great at night too.. picture is amazing day and night!. I did make the mistake of using the wrong software. Teaches me to read the quick guide!

My friend SM experience Easy installation, great image!.

Great quality product, feels heavy duty and solid. I love the image and the audio playback feature. Installation was super easy but initially activating it took about 30 min and I gave up for the night. Tried in the morning and only took 10 min! Love it! Bought one for the front and one for the backyard
