Review DTodd said Excellent!.
I saw a previous review that described this pair of binoculars as having the 'look and feel of a children's toy.' -with 'subpar performance.' Well, I can't speak to the experiences of another owner, but I can say without hesitation that these binoculars have a substantial weight and feel, and perform every bit as well as my Nikon Aculon 10x25s, which are of similar size and configuration, and cost five times as much.
Additionally, I am well-experienced with optics, having owned dozens of binos and telescopes in different price ranges over 4 decades. The color acuity and image sharpness of these binos is well within what I would expect given the design and build limitations (most significant of which is the small aperture that is inherent in all compact binos). I was unable to discern any chromatic aberration in comparison to the aforementioned Nikons, which were of a much higher price class. Simply put, these are an exceptional bargain in my view. I will add though that the case is lacking, and claims on the box that these are 'night vision' binos hold no merit as the aperture is too small and the build and optical qualities do not lend credit to being able to use in hours of darkness with any significant observable vision enhancement. However, for the price you are paying, I believe these are an excellent pair of binoculars, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
A review Rafael R. said Extremely satisfied with this product.
Extremely satisfied with this product. I was worried that they might be big and clunky, but it's the exact opposite. They can be held comfortably with one hand and the aesthetics are visually pleasing as well. There is no tint on the glass so you can see clearly out of them and the sight can be adjusted on both lenses for a clearer visual. Long story short, if you clicked on this product because your interest was piqued, but was unsure of what you were getting then fear not...your money will be well spent!
A review W. Hoover tell us EXTREME value.
My father owns an $800 pair of Leica binoculars. These are 90% as good. The clarity at 12x is astonishing, I can count blades of grass at 200 yards. I am completely blown away by the fact that you can get a sturdy, near-perfect pair of binoculars for under $50 these days. Simply amazing. There is no chance that these will disappoint.
While satxgirl say Great Quality for a Great price!.
I've typically always used 'high end' binoculars - such as Zeiss and Wind River glasses. I gave one away and the other was damaged in a move so I decided to try these. My primary use for these glasses is bird watching and they are fantastic. The focus is quick and easy, and rapidly adjusts focus from near to far - so I can be looking at a bird on the feeder and quickly change focus to a bird far beyond it in a tree far away. The 12x magnification is very clear making the ability to spot detail on small birds easy for identification. They work well in low light. I have been very pleased - for this amazing price I've been able to let me kids use them and get them interested in spotting wildlife without concerns over their use of 'high dollar' binoculars - instead they get to enjoy "high quality' views!
Review Craig tell us Excellent optical performance.
I needed a replacement for my 30-year old Nikon 10x25 binocular which always gave a flawless image until somehow it went out of alignment.
This is my second purchase, the first was a 12x42 roof prism model which was a disappointment because its optics were inferior to the Nikon. I worried that there might be nothing as good as the Nikon at a moderate price. My eyes aren’t as good as they were 30 years ago, but I can now say that the Occer is a nearly perfect replacement for the Nikon. The image is razor sharp and the focus wheel is light. I feel no eyestrain, which indicates that collimation and alignment are correct. Just ignore the claim of low-light night vision, none of these binoculars work well in low light.
This binocular uses the conventional porro prism (offset) design, as opposed to the roof prism designs used in the straight-line models. Wikipedia has an excellent article on binoculars in which the two prism designs are explained in detail. My recommendation is to avoid low-priced roof prism binoculars; the article describes the compromises and complexities of the roof prism which may account for some of the flaws in my first purchase. The body of the Occer is plastic but feels solid and well made. I am only guessing at the durability rating, but with care it should outlast me. I didn’t really expect to get a binocular of this quality at such a good price.
As Tile Tool Jim Talk Powerful and Focused view..
These Occer 12x25 Compact Binoculars are made to exacting specifications that result in a very easy to focus operation and a very clear view. The power is excellent for bird and animal watching, but I will also enjoy for sports and concerts. The compact size makes it easy to carry, in or out of the case. The light weight makes it nice to use for long periods without holding fatigue. Very easy to get the focus just right by adjusting the left eye piece as outlines in the included focusing instructions. Comes with a nice case, neck strap, instructions and a lense cleaning cloth. This is an excellent value at the very good price.
As Norbe experience Clear, light and compact.
It certainly is a good value for the price. I was looking for a pair of binoculars for a Alaska trip next year. Need a light weight, compact and waterproof one. This pair seem to fit the bill. I am surprised with how clear and sharp the image is when in focus. I wear glasses, but I am able to use these binoculars without my glasses. Focusing for both eyes is very easy.
Don't know how waterproof they are. I don't plan to get them wet, may be occasional rain drops in the worst scenario.
I bought one pair to try out. Definitely will buy another pair before the trip.
My friend Carl Underwood tell us Really impressed with the optical quality.
Really impressed with the optical quality of these. I ordered another similar product (Aurosports 10x25) which was okay, but not as nice as these. After seeing how good these were, I ordered another pair to replace the other brand, so my wife and I could both have a good pair. I liked the case of the other brand better, but the optical quality and the better focusing of these wins easily. These have a very easy turning focus wheel. They also seem to have a wider viewing angle. I'm quite impressed, and glad I purchased these Occer 12x25 binoculars. These have clear, bright, focus over the entire view (not so with the other brand).
As labrador mom tell us Easy to set up to use...1-2-3!.
I needed these to spot a trap out at the edge of my neighbors yard as she was unable to go out there. To save me in extreme cold I bought these. Then I can text her and she can call professional critter man. Work great. Easy to adjust and get up and running. Perfect for a task like these but looking forward to using them for birding too now and all year round! Lots of trees and lots of birds!! Excellent quality!! Great find!
This a word from David Brown experience Great value.
Am very impressed so far. Like the adjustable eye pieces. Hinge just the right stiffness to stay in position, but not too tight to open/close. Optics seem of good quality. Purchased for travel trip to spot whales/birds from boat. I think 12x power will be perfect amount to bring close enough, without being too strong and making object hard to get into the field of view. Great value for the price.
