This a word from Amazon Customer tell us DO NOT BUY!.

I ordered one of this and after 10 days of wasting time with online support plus 2 replacement sticks and 2 replacement remotes they still can't figure out how to make it work. First was the stick not setting the right display resolution, now 2 remotes don't pair with the new stick....wont ever order anything that says "refurbished" from Amazon.

A review Dan experience Does not support Screen Mirroring.

I only purchased this because I needed to cast the screen of my exercise bike to the TV. I currently have a Fire TV which does not support casting. When I received this item, and tried it, there was a menu selection for Screen Mirroring.
I thought "Great", however neither my bike or my phone could see the Fire TV stick. Calling support, they stated that even though the menu item was there, it did not support mirroring. Additional internet searching confirmed that it basically works with other amazon devices, but has problems with Android and Microsoft devices. Decided to return it.
If you don't need mirroring, it is a great device and I would give it 5 stars.

I purchased by mistake a refurbished one, my bad I know. The problem is that I sent to Brazil as gift to my niece and it did not work. It keeping disconnecting and doesn't stay connected. Now it is very difficult to send it back for replacement, so I lost my money and she is very disappointed.

The little HDMI extender that comes with the stick was physically bent. It was the HDMI plug-in end that was spent about 30° or 40° from the body. It was obvious to see that it was bent as soon as I took it out of the box. I tried to use it anyway because of a tight fit at the TV but the firestick did not work. It's irritating that this was supposed to be a refurbished unit and anyone with two eyes could easily see that the HDMI extender what's broken. At any rate I was able to get the fire stick to plug into the TV without using the extender and the firestick itself is working as it's supposed to. So it's too much trouble to return the product, just irritating.

I love that it provides all that it provides. Hulu, Netflix, Amazon video and so much more. I only had a problem with the power needed to the Fire Stick, but my tv didn't output enough power, so I plug it into the wall and the power plug provide didn't work either so had to use an extra one that I had laying around and it works, but other than that it is an excellent product!

i plugged and set up my fire tv and nothing but a black screen. very mad. i will cancel my amazon prime services. to good to be true. although this is a newer more modern tv streaming option, go with roku or pay the full price for more expenseve equtment.

I love buying refurbished or open box to save some cash - new means little to me. So I decided to try the refurbished version of the 2 firesticks I had ordered previously. Needless to say I was ticked off that I did not receive the same item at all. The stick itself was the same model, but manufactured in China vs Vietnam. The remote is where I was angry. I love the new firestick because the remotes will control the TV power and volume, and the firestick sets it up for you when you first turn it on. I have 4 of these versions now because of it. The remote sent did not have these features. So I returned it and ordered a new one that came correct. The remote is worth the extra cash - I know because I now have 3 gen1 and 1 gen2 firesticks in a drawer to get the added speed and remote features!

Whenever I use my Amazon fire stick And my children who are very young are watching TV with me, the opening image from Amazon that takes up half the screen is a bloody hook hanging a bloody helmet over the shoulder of a guy that looks like some sort of psycho killer staring into the screen. My kids ask me what the picture is and I have to try to get to the Disney app as fast as possible to get this disgusting image off the screen. The image is to promote the Amazon show “the boys“. It is a disgusting, violent, wildly inappropriate image for a family to have to see, especially with young children. There is no way around this image. I have spoken to Amazon on more than five occasions, speaking to their customer service and I T departments. They tell me there’s nothing I can do about it and basically my family and I have to look at this disgusting image anytime we want to watch any kids cartoons or look at family photos on our fire stick. Amazon should be ashamed of themselves. This is disgusting And very inappropriate. I have asked many times to have this image removed and am told I cannot. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to have to see this garbage when they are trying to watch cartoons with their children.
